Coniothyrium minitans CON/M/91-08 is the first biological product to which full access to safety studies is granted. Contans WG, based on the natural occurring soil fungus C. minitans, is a biological fungicide with a specific antagonistic action against the remaining surviving structures (sclerotia) of the plant pathogens Sclerotinia spp. Best and sustainable results are achieved, if Contans WG is strategically integrated in the crop rotation. In lettuce, for example, it is one of the best available tools controlling S. sclerotiorum.Read more
